About:Chengdu - Leshan - Emeishan Intercity High Speed Train

Chengdu-Leshan-Emeishan in one day

How long it takes at Leshan for visiting? Do you think it is doable to reach Mt Emei on the same day?

From my experience, half day would do at Leshan. I did not go for Mt Emei but I used to read it closed at 5pm. So if you need to reach there on same day, it could be a little rush but possible. If you booked a hotel outside Mt Emei, time is not a problem.
