Hi there, I am going to Shanghai in May 2020, can i get Visa now in the UK ?

I am going to travel to Kuala Lumpur and transit to Shanghai in May 2020.
I am also planning to visit China again in Feb 2021 !
Can I apply for the Visa now in UK?
I am a Malaysian Working in London and planning to visit Shanghai and other near by cities for 10 days.
