hi there, i am going to shanghai in may 2020, can i get visa now in the uk ?

I am going to travel to Kuala Lumpur and transit to Shanghai in May 2020.I am also planning to visit China again in Feb 2021 !Can I apply for the Visa now in UK?I am a Malaysian Working in London and planning to visit Shanghai and other near by cities for 10 days.Many thanks,Yoke Loh

Dear, you can apply for it from UK, but it's too early to apply now. You are advised to apply for it one or two months before your intended travel date. For the transit in Shanghai, see if you are eligible for the 24h visa-free transit.
