About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am flying London to Shanghai with one airline and staying there for 48 hours

and then flying out with a different airline.

Then 2 months later I am flying back to Shanghai and staying there for 48 hours with one airline and one ticket. Then flying back to london on a different airline and a different ticket.

Is it ok to do this and get the visa free travel. Or does the London - Shanghai - Third country ticket all have to be on the same airline with the same ticket/

Separate tickets and different carriers are fine, as long as your passport and itinerary qualify.
