About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sydney-Singapore-Cruise Singapore to Shanghai-Singapore or Hong Kong or Japan-Sydney

Hello
We will be travelling to Singapore from Australia to board a Cruise ship from Singapore to Shanghai in May 2017 cruising via Malaysia/Philippines/Hong Kong/Taiwan/Japan before arriving in Shanghai. We plan to stay 4 nights in Shanghai after the cruise. At this stage we have not decided on our return flights but they will be only transits in either Singapore or Hong Kong or Japan before flying onto Sydney. Would we qualify for the 144 hour Visa free transit.

Since arrival in Shanghai is through Japan, make sure the exit flight is not also through Japan or you will need a Tourist (L) Visa
