About:China Transit Visa

Intl-China-China-Intl itinerary

Hi,

I often see cheap flights from Europe to South East Asia and Australia with the following itinerary: EU-Beijing-Guangzhou-Asia/Australia (occasionally one of the China stops is in a different city, such as Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Xiamen or Chengdu). Am I, as a EU citizen, eligible for the 24, 72 or 144 visa free transits?

Dear, as you have more than one stop in China, you need to check whether the two stops are in the same zone for 144h visa-free transit. If yes, you can enjoy 144hrs visa-free. If not, you can enjoy 24hrs visa-free transit if the total layover in China is not over 24 hours.
