About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Chengdu

i am flying into chengdu from austria - my onward flight after3days will be to Thailand.

BUT China Eastern flight has a StopOver (2hours) in Kunming. Is that OK?

Heinrich, this is not OK and this itinerary requires a visa. You are not allowed to travel through two Chinese transit zones in a row regardless of the nature of your stops. Traveling through two or more transit zones within mainland China is allowed only if traveling on 24 hour visa free transit. Sorry.
