I arrive at Beijing airport T2 at 6am on China Southern from Tashkent

And leave from Beijing airport same day 5pm but from terminal 3 on Thai Airways to Bangkok. Does transferring from T2 to T3 mean I still stay within the airport perimeter and so do not need a transit visa. I am Australian.
