Can a UK passport holder apply for a Chinese visa in Japan?

I will be on holiday in Japan and would like to travel to China. Can I apply for a Chinese visa for 15 days with a UK Passport whilst I’m in Japan?

No, you can't. you need to apply a China visa in your own country.
