About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Hi, I'm a Spanish citizen planning to go to Shanghai for 6 days or 144 hours.

I will be leaving from Manila Philippines to go to SH to and I intend to stay for 6 days. Do I need another ticket going out of SH to another destination other than Philippines? For example:

Manila- Shanghai-Hong Kong- Manila?

Or would this be okay?

Manila- Shanghai- Manila?

Please advise.

There has to be a third country (or eligible territory), so your itinerary:

Manila - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Manila is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. The second one itinerary:

Manila - Shanghai - Manila is obviously not a transit, so not eligible for a visa free transit option.

You need all the ticket bought for your entire journey and have them in hard copy at the time of your check-in in Manila.

By the way, you should take care that your flight Shanghai - Hong Kong is nonstop one, i.e. without any kind of intermediate landing.
