Hi Zupan
Thank you very much for your advice. I appreciate it so much.
In relation to the flight, the options are with stops in Helsinki and other European countries. I consider this to be no inconvenience.
Greetings.

Part one:

Actually, you are perfectly allowed to take a train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong for 144 hour visa free transit purposes. Here is the step by step explanation because when leaving Guangzhou to Hong Kong by train, you have to know several details about the procedure how to do it:

- You need your ticket in your hand before your travel from Madrid, so you will have to book a ticket before your departure from Madrid
- The only train that is valid for this via free transit option is the one departing from Guangzhou East to Hong Kong Hung Hom railway station. This train takes a bit less than 2 hours to arrive in Hong Kong. High speed train is not eligible for use within the visa free transit option
- It is advised to book this train on this website by clicking on the word "Trains" in the upper part of the site. Keep in mind that you choose those railway stations that I have mentioned above
- During the booking process, you will have to insert the place where your real ticket will be delivered in Guangzhou, so it is essential that you book your accommodation at least for one night in advance
- After the successful booking you will receive an e-confirmation in your email inbox that you will have to print out and have it in hard copy as a proof that you will really use the train to exit mainland China by train from Guangzhou
- Your booking for a train ticket has to be done at least a week before your departure in order that the agency has enough time to deliver your train ticket to the address you will insert during the booking process.

Part two:

This is not complicated although it has several stops. There are many advantages and among them is the fact that you depart from the center of Guangzhou and arrive in the center of Hong Kong, so the entire journey is noticeably faster than by taking a plane. Also, this option is noticeably cheaper. In reality, taking a flight from Guangzhou to Hong Kong is indeed a waste of time and money. At least in my opinion.

By the way, Felix, I'm honestly worried about your entire itienrary because, at least at the time being, there are no direct flights between Madrid and Guangzhou. This would mean that you will need another stop somewhere and you should be aware that such a stop is not permitted in mainland China and in Hong Kong if you wish to remain eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province.

Félix, all options with direct or better to say nonstop flight from Europe to Guangzhou are fine. I was afraid that you were planning an itinerary that will have some additional stop within mainland China. That would not be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. So, just book the most convenient nonstop flight Europe - Guangzhou and enjoy your time :)
