About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do I need a visa for my plan?

I will be traveling from the US to Beijing for 5 days, then Seoul for two weeks, then Beijing for a few more days (less than six definitely, may not even be 24 hours) then Egypt for a few weeks then Beijing one more time to go home to the us. So basically the first trip I’ll be actually visiting China and the other two times I will be just in transport

Yasmine, if this is your itinerary:

US - Beijing - Seoul
Seoul - Beijing - Cairo
Cairo - Beijing - US

And if there are no additional stops within the itinerary, you are eligible for visa free transit in each of your three arrival in Beijing for a visa free transit. Of course, the type of visa free scheme will be determined with the length of your transit time in Beijing. As you have already said, your first arrival will be for several days, so in this case it will be 144 hour visa free transit. During your two following arrivals in Beijing, it will be or 24 or 144 hour visa free transit, but the most important detail is that you are eligible.

Of course, everything we are talking about is valid if you are a US citizen.
