About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

Vietnam - Xiamen - LAX

Hi! I am a Vietnamese passport holder but i do have F1 visa. I will transit in Gaoqi airport for 9hrs. Will i be eligible for 24hr-TWOV to go outside? Thanks in advance

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit (TWOV) in Xiamen. I suppose that you will fly on a single ticket using Xiamen Air. Anyway, you should have in mind that 24 hour TWOV doesn't grant you an exit from the airport. To be allowed to exit the airport, you will have to apply for 24 hour free entry permit upon landing in Xiamen. As you can see, here we have two separate things. You are definitely eligible for 24 hour TWOV, but you have to know that an entry permit is issued strictly upon discretion of immigration authorities on the day of your arrival in Xiamen.
