Work Permit Declined in Shanghai

My work permit was declined in Shanghai because I didn’t have supporting documents from my previous employer in Beijing. I left Beijing in Mar 2018 on good terms with my employer and came home to Scotland. I got another opportunity to work in Shanghai with another Company but when they applied for my work permit it was declined. Can you confirm that because the Company in Shanghai applied for my work permit as a dance teacher and my old Company in Beijing had applied as Kindergarten Teacher (even although I was teaching dance) that this is why my permit has been rejected. Can you confirm is there anyway to make this right please? Also what supporting documents would I need from my previous employer in Beijing as they seem unwilling to help?

Hello, supporting documentation is something like proof of employment and since your new job is dance teacher, you will need document to prove that you are capable of teaching other people to dance. Authenticate dance certificate will do, or some working experience back home. Your new employer should able to tell you the reason behind the rejection, because when the government reject any work permit, they should tell the employer the reason.
