Can I apply for a transit visa at the airport and am I eligible for transit visa?

Hi,
I am holding a pakistani passport and currently living in Pakistan. I am going to Nur Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan on student visa and transiting in Urumqi for 8 hours. Can I apply for a transit visa at the airport and am I eligible for transit visa? My route is Islamabad (Pakistan) - Urumqi (China) - Nur Sultan (Kazakhstan).

Hi, you are not eligible visa free transit and can't apply at the airport. You should apply for transit in advance.
