Do I require an S2 visa?

Going to Shanghai end Sept for approx 10days, staying in private residence rented by my son who works there. Do I require an S2 visa? If yes, is that a specific application form or general. What other documents required? Is it ok to download & fill in by hand? Or must it be typed? Thinking it would be a struggle for me to complete online & uplift photos.

Stephen, you should apply for S2 type. The required documents include valid passport, application form and recent photo, invitation letter, copy of your son's passport and residence permit in China, and his birth certificate. Plus, you should fill in the application form online and then print it out.

Greta,

Many thanks for clarification. When you say copy of son's passport, is that just of the 2 most important pages?

Many thanks,
Steve
