About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application
Princess Cruise visit to Xiamen for 7 hrs October 2019. Is this eligible for a Transit without Visa?
Itinerary segment is: Departs Kagoshima (Japan) 17 Oct, Arrives Xiamen 1000 on 19 Oct, departs Xiamen 1700 19 Oct to arrive in Chan May in Viet Nam on 21 Oct. So, just a max of 7hrs ashore in China. Both Iglu (travel agent) and Princess suggest that a Full Visa at £150 each is necessary. Can you confirm that this short visit is eligible for a 24 hour Transit Without Visa (TWOV).
The requirements are:
Apply for 24-hour visa-free entry permit in 4 steps
1. Fill an Arrival/Departure Card at the border inspection counter
2. Get the temporary entry permit stamp or sticker
3. Go through the customs
