About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA - BEIJING - DUBAI - BEIJING - USA

I am traveling from USA non stop to Beijing. I plan to stay in Beijing for 3 days then I fly non stop to Dubai. Then Dubai - China - USA all non stop on my way back. My question is do I qualify for the visa free for my 3 day stay in Beijing if I will be transiting the Beijing airport 4 days later on my way back to USA?

Of course. The duration of stay resets every time you leave the country and there are no restrictions on the times you can enter the country providing that your layovers are more than 24 hours. Under 24 hours is a grey area and up to immigration's decision.

My second layover is only 2 hours but I do not intend to leave the airport. I do not need any kind of visa since I am basically changing planes only, right?
