About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

My passport has been to visa office, can I go to another city in china or stay in hotel?

I have given my passport for 20 days to extend visa on it but I need to go to another city on a fast train and stay there in a hotel. So, if I do not have a passport, what shall I do in these both cases?

Dear, if you don't have passport, you may not take a train to another city.

Possible. Just take the paper that have to you with your picture

Very much possible. Just use the Acknowledgement slip given at the Entry/Exit bureau. Just last week I took trains from/to Dalian to/from Beijing.
