Leaving China for two weeks and returning on a multi-entry X1 student visa

I will be in China from September 1st to April 14th. I have a multi-entry X1 student visa. I will be returning to the USA for two weeks in December, then returning to China to finish out my stay.

The university-associated housing I am in handles my temporary residence paperwork (forget what it's called) and the university helps/handles the medical exam and full residency permit.

Is there anything I need to do regarding my two week trip out of China? Any paperwork I need to do before I leave, anything I need to do upon my return?

Thanks for the help

No, you don't need to do anything before the trip out of China and no extra paperwork is required for reentering except your passport and temporary residence permit.
