About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flights on different tickets to and from Beijing

I have flights booked as follows:
DPS to PEK (transfer in Manila) on one airline, arriving PEK at 11:55am.
I leave PEK 5 days (120 hours) later to LON (UK) on a separate ticket, different airline than above.

I plan to stay in Beijing for those 5 days. Do I qualify for the 144 transit visa having two different flight tickets (not one flight with 'transit' in Beijing) ?

Different tickets are fine.

But you don't need a transit visa, the 144h twov is fine for you.
