About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa for 32 hours in Shanghai

My daughter is cabin crew for Emirates and wants me to go to Shanghai for a 32 hour layover. Would I need a visa?
I will be staying with her in Dubai from
24 July until 20 August. Not sure if I would be able to fly as a passenger on her flight without a visa. Can I? Thank you

Thank you so much for the helpful advice. Back to the drawing board now and will have to wait until she goes to a country that doesn’t require a visa. Thanks again

Standby travel requires a visa. Dubai > Shanghai > Dubai also requires a visa
