About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get a 24 hour transit visa for Wuhan, China?

Hi, I am traveling to Bangkok from NYC with 4 other friends; however, we have a 7 hour layover in Wuhan, China (Wuhan Tianhe Intl Airport, WUH). All of us are US citizens. We were thinking that maybe we could leave the airport, grab some food and spend some time outside then come back in time to catch our plane to Bangkok. Thank you@

PS. We are traveling through China Southern Airlines

You and your friends don't need a transit visa for this trip.

Thank you, yes I am aware. My question is regarding all of us stepping out of the airport during the 7 hours layover. I know we are fine provided we are inside the airport, but we would like to go outside, grab some food, spend some time outside then come back in again to catch our flight to Thailand.
