hello i am spending 9 days in china for a holiday do i need transit visa or tourist visa

i also live in australia and have a united kingdom passport i can do this all via post with chinese consolate in brisbane thanks when i leave china i am heading too hong kong for 2 days on a cruise ship thankyou for any details

Martyn, you need to apply for tourist L type in advance.
