About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

if I qualify for the 24 hour visa free transit

Hi, I am travelling into Guangzhou from London and have booked a train ticket to Hong Kong the same evening as my flight lands in China . I was therefore just wondering if I qualify for the 24 hour visa free transit to be able to collect my bags and board the train?

Alternatively, if I was to book a flight to Hong Kong from Guangzhou instead of getting the train, would I also qualify for this 24 hour free visa so I can collect my bags and board the other flight?

It is definitely the same. You can use both the train or the plane. Both options are totally eligible, but one warning... I just hope that you have bought a ticket for Guangzhou–Kowloon through train that departs from Guangzhou East railway station and arrives in Hung Hom station in Hong Kong. This train is the only eligible among the train offer.

In case that you didn't buy the above mentioned eligible train, I assume that you will be able to cancel the mentioned ticket and to get a refund. Keep in mind to book a ticket for this eligible train on the website that will supply you with an e-confirmation with your name and passport number on it.
