About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Does this Qualify for 144 Hrs ( Bangkok -> Guangzhou -> Shenzhen -> Hong Kong -> Bangkok

I am re posting this , just in case the other one is not answered .

1> BKK - CAN ( Flight) Day 1
2> Shenzhen to HKG ( either Train or Ferry) Day 4
3> HKG - BKK ( Flight) Day 6

Will it still qualify for 144 visa free Transit? If yes, what is advisable( HS Train or Ferry) and why? please help me with some details.
thanks

Biswajit, here we are again :)

Your mentioned itinerary: Bangkok - Guangzhou - Hong Kong is eligible and you are allowed to travel that itinerary.

After your arrival in Guangzhou, you are allowed to travel throughout Guangdong province including Shenzhen. You can choose whatever mean of transport you want within the province. Anyway, from Shenzhen to Hong Kong you can use only ferry. The reason is simple, this is the only option where you can book your ticket for online in advance and to have that ticket at the time of check-in in Bangkok. In reality it will be an e-confirmation (voucher), but definitely eligible document. So, to book a ferry ticket you will visit CKS - Chu Kong Passenger Transport company website where you will book a ticket from Shenzhen Shekou port to Hong Kong Macau Ferry terminal.

Of course, it is possible to book a ticket online in advance for high speed train from Futian Shenzhen station to Hong Kong, but this option is simply ineligible for 144 hour visa free transit.
