About:Baggage Allowance and Transportation

Are Animals allowed on trains in China?

I have to move from shanghai to beijing can I take my two cats to beijing by train? I know its not possibile on the bullet train, but other trains?

Pet is allowed on normal trains as checked luggage. They would need to be arranged in goods carriage. From what I read, the process can be a little bit complicated. You need to prepare health document etc for for the pet first and arrange the consignment early on the day of travel. The pet need to caged and if for a long distance trip, you also need to prepare some food etc.
