About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I eligible for visa free?

Hi, I will be flying from Japan (Haneda Airport in Tokyo) to Shanghai.
I will be departing Shanghai to Vancouver, Canada, but will transit in Japan (Narita Airport in Tokyo) for a few hours.
My concern is that although my itinerary is: Japan->China; China->Canada, I am returning via Japan again.

Your itinerary is Japan-Shanghai-Japan which is a visit to China and not a transit, and therefore does not qualify for visa-free transit. You either need a visa or different flights.
