About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 tickets travel

Hello! So if I'm travelling Phuket - Chengdu - Beijing - Vladivostok - I'm under 144 hours rule?

Important notice - I have 2 different tickets: Phuket - Chengdu - Beijing in one ticket, Beijing - Vladivostok - another ticket.

No, you are not. You are allowed just 24 hours visa free transit because you are traveling through two different Chinese transit zones in a row, in your case Chengdu and Beijing. So, you should check well your tickets to see whether your entire transit is under 24 hours or more than that. The transit time is calculated from your first scheduled arrival in China, in your case in Chengdu, until your last scheduled departure from China, in your case from Beijing. In case that you have exceeded 24 hours for just a minute, you will have to apply for a visa in advance.

By the way, having separate (different) tickets and flying on different airlines is definitely fine.
