About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Would the authorities have an issue with us flying in from Moscow

Staying in SH with 144 hour visa then flying to Taiwan?

If you are of Cypriot citizenship, then both you and your itinerary are definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in Shanghai. I just hope you have mentioned all your stops within the mentioned itinerary. Chinese authorities will not have any objections and will not make you any kind of problems because of your next destination that is in Taiwan. Taiwan is perfectly eligible for 144 hours visa free transit purposes.
