About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Different airline transfers

I have a Hong Kong -> Chengdu ticket (21st December) with hongkong airlines and a ticket Chengdu -> Dusselfdorf (via Singapore) (23rd December). These are two seperate tickets. Does that matter? Am I eligible for the 72 hour transit visa?

Actually you are eligible for the 144 hour visa-free transit in Chengdu. It does not matter if you use seperate tickets.
