About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Return flight from London

Can I use the visa to visit Chengdu for a weekend? Ie. Leave London and return to London or does the onward city need to be different than the departure point?

So if I flew direct from London to Chengdu, stopped for the weekend and then returned with a flight into, say, Amsterdam before connecting with a flight to London, that would work ?

London-Chengdu-Amsterdam would obviously be eligible if they were your only stops.
