72 hour visa free transit in guangzhou

Hello!I will be traveling to Vietnam from Hungary with vietnamese visa. When i will come back to Hungary I will stop and change at Guangzhou Airport. Waiting time will be 22 hour. Can I travel to Hong Kong with this 72 hours visa free opportunity ?

As I know, you are eligible for 72-hour visa free at Guangzhou if your flight route is Vietnam - Guangzhou - Hungary. However, 72-hour visa free is applied to the passengers transit in one of the permitted areas in China. Hong Kong and Guangzhou do not belong to the same permitted area, so you are not allowed to travel to Hong Kong. You can travel to Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
