Cruise ships that stops for 1 day in Hong Kong

We will be on a cruise that stops for 1 day in Hong Kong then moves onto Shanghai for 2 nights. Do we need visas?

Dear, if your itinerary is Hong Kong-Shanghai-third country or region, you can actually eligible for 144h visa exemption transit.
