About:10-year China Visa

Is the 10 yr. visa apply for studying abroad in China?

I'm going to China to study abroad, but don't want to apply for the student visa. I want the 10 year visa. Will the 10 year visa work for studying abroad?

Dear, it may be impossible for you to obtain 10 year visa for studying in China.

The 10-year visa will not authorize you to legally study in any educational institution. Your only choice for lawful study is either X1 or X2. The former comes with a 5-year residence permit if you are an US citizen but is only available for long-term study, while the latter is for short-term study no more than a few months.
