I have US passport. Can I enter Guangzhou provision from Macau and leave to Hong Kong with visa-free

Does the visa-free apply if I enter and leave Guangzhou by land?

There is no problem of your itinerary but you cannot enter and leave by land. You can only enter by plane. It is suggested to leave by ferry.

No, you can only enter from one of the following ports:
Guangzhou Baiyun Airport
Shenzhen Bao'an Airport
Jieyang Chaoshan Airport
