About:China Visa Application in UK

China tour in October for a stay and cruise

I am going to China in October for a stay and cruise, the first 3 days on a tour with a company. When I apply for my visa do I put independent traveller or inviter ?
Also I leave on the cruise at Shanghai to visit Korea then re enter China in Beijing with the cruis line for 3 days stay, so do I have to enter different dates or can I just put one enter date and leave date to include this ?

Dear, if you fly from UK to Shanghai, stay for three days, and then take the cruise to visit Korea and no landing in between, you can possibly use the 144h visa-free transit in Shanghai so that you don't need to get a visa.
