About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do i need visa to Shanghai, China?

I will arrive Shanghai on 5 Oct, and depart on Costa Cruises on 7 Oct. On 12 Oct, will return to Shanghai and stay for 2 more nights before flying back to Singapore. I am holding Malaysian passport and working in Singapore, do I need visa to enter Shanghai?

Yes, you need a double entry entry Chinese visa because during both of your stays in Shanghai you will stay for more than 24 hours and that makes you ineligible for 24 hours visa free transit in China. Unfortunately, as a Malaysian citizen you are not eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in China. I advise you to start applying for a Chinese visa in August.
