Gustav, your itinerary is definitely qualified for 24 hours visa free transit twice. Simply speaking, you will fly without any visa. You have to know that you should bring your tickets in hard copy and you will have to, at least once, i.e. in Shanghai to apply for 24 hours free entry permit because you will have to leave Hongqiao airport in order to catch your flight departing from Pudong airport.

This detail is a bit delicate because you will have relatively short time for your transfer between two Shanghai airports. You will have to be very agile and perform all the formalities as soon as possible. You will collect your luggage and run to the bus called shuttle bus no. 1 that will take you directly to Pudong airport. This bus takes roughly 70 - 80 minutes between two airport and costs 30 CNY. Please, make yourself a favor and exchange some money in Chinese currency while in Macau. It will allow you to speed up the entire transfer from Hongqiao to Pudong airport. Once again, very fast moving and reacting will be really necessary.
