Letter of Invitation - UK Visa Application

I have 2 letters of invitiation and itineraries for the trips I am doing. However the 2nd trip has date of entry as the end of the previous trip rather than my entry to China, which is detailed on the first LOI. Will this cause a problem and should I get a new LOI.

Also when entering maximum duration on form should this include or exclude any days in Hong Kong which a UK visa is not required

Adrian, I advise you to get another invitation for the second trip. From your words, I guess you will have a trip to Hong Kong between the two trips for mainland, that means you may need double entry visa. If you don't change the second invitation letter, the officer may issue you only one entry.

The maximum duration doesn't include the days in HK.
