About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Is residence permit necessary for an S2 visa if after a couple of months wanted to go back home?

My wife had stayed for 6 months with me and and I'm a Z visa holder.thanks

Hi, residence permit is not necessary for S2 type.
