Applying for visa while in china

I'm currently in China. I didn't manage to apply for a visa in Singapore as I planned to visit other nearby country, but plan abolished and as my return air ticket is dated one week after the 15 days deadline, ie 21 days from the day of arrival into shanghai, is it possible for me to apply for a visa to extend my stay for another 1 more week? TIA.

You can bring your passport, a recent passport style photo, a registration form of temporary residence and travel itinerary to apply for tourist type at local Public Security Bureau. Have a try.
