In case that your entire itinerary is:

UK - Shanghai - South Korea - Beijing - UK

Then you are eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in both SH and Beijing. Anyway, you should just check following details:

- Your flight from UK to SH and Beijing to UK should not have any additional landing within mainland China and South Korea.
- Your cruise should not have any additional port calls in mainland China beside SH at the beginning and Tianjin (Beijing) at the end of your cruise.

In case that you meet the above mentioned criteria, you are definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit twice.
