About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Short Visit to Shanghai, Do I need to get a visa?

I want to visit Shanghai for 48 hours for the Asian Premier League Trophy. I have a UK Passport but I live in Bangkok, Thailand. My flight path would be BKK-PVG-BKK.

Yes. Visits to China require a visa for British citizens. Only transits are allowed without a visa.
