About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for the 24 hours visa free transit ?

Hi, I have a Nepali passport and am flying into Shanghai on Thursday, Jun 20, 2019 at 05:10 PM, I have a three hours layover in shanghai and then a 13 hour layover in Kunming. My flight leaves from Kunming on Friday, Jun 21, 2019 at 02:10 PM to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Your entire itinerary is shorter than 24 hours, so you are definitely eligible for 24 hours visa free transit. My suggestion would be that you book some accommodation in Kunming in advance because your layover there will be during the night hours. This accommodation will also increase your chances to obtain 24 hours free entry permit to be allowed to exit the airport. You should have your accommodation confirmation and your flight tickets in hard copy.
