Multiple Entry restriction

If I enter china on visa free on first part of trip, leave country but then come back on way home, can you qualify for visa free again or is there a restriction on # of entries over a period of time? (i.e. from EU to PEK enter china and leave to Korea then come back to PEK from Korea enter and then leave back to EU)
