About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

US citizen living in UK

Hi, I plan to go to China with my mother later this year. I have dual citizenship (UK/US) but my mother is a US citizen with right to remain in the UK through marriage (indefinite leave). She has a US passport only.

Can she apply for her visa at a UK embassy, or will there be problems? I already have my Chinese visa, I was able to apply in Edinburgh because that is the closest embassy to us. Thanks in advance!
