About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do we need a Chinese Visa please.

We fly to Bejing and spend 10 days in China as part of a tour group and then exit from Shangai on a cruise ship to Japan

For Cruise exemption it's required to enter Shanghai by boat and then leave China on the same boat.
