About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we qualify for 144 hour visa free transit to Beijing as flight not nonstop (2 hour change over)

We are UK citizens and fly by Etihad from London Heathrow to Beijing (via Abu Dhabi 2 hour change) arriving 4 Oct and depart 7 Oct from Tianjin Port on a cruise to Fukuoko, Japan eventually flying home from Singapore. Not sure if we qualify as flight NOT NONSTOP!!!
If we qualify where would we obtain the arrival/departure card.
Tried Chinese Embassy and they said they have no information on 144 visa free transit!!

Waste of everyone's time trying the Embassy because you're not getting a visa. Arrival/departure card will available either on your flight or on arrival at Chinese immigration.

UK > UAE > Beijing > Tianjin < Japan allows for 144 hour transit in Beijing/Tianjin/Hebei Province
