About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Half day Chengdu stop, then Beijing

HI, I am planning to book tickets from OSAKA to Chengdu, spend half a day in Chengdu's Panda Base, then to Beijing the same day to spend 4 days in Beijing and then leave China to Los Angeles.
Is this itinerary eligible for the 144hours visa?

No. You need a visa or different flights. Two stops in mainland China immediately limits you to the 24 hours transit without visa.
