Can I exchange S2 Visa to L Visa while in China? What are the Requirements?

I am currently staying in China with a Private Visiting Visa (S2). Is it possible to apply for a Tourist Visa here in China or I will have to go back to my home Country? also What is the general Procedure and requirements of exchanging the Visa?

You can switch S2 to L type at local Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration without leaving China. Plus, the requirements include your passport, a recent passport style photo, a registration form of temporary residence, and a travel itinerary.
